As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship, we prioritize sustainable practices ensuring longevity for the communities we get to operate in. Thorough environmental impact assessments are conducted throughout various stages of our operations. As a trusted neighbor, berms and landscaping are erected around sites to help with noise, dust, and visual appeal around properties.
Water Management
Water management is also a key focus, with advanced water recycling systems in place, such as at 9 Mile Park, to reduce consumption and promote efficiency. We also engage in land reclamation efforts to restore areas we have operated in. This ensures the land is stable and repurposed for critical needs like municipal water storage.
Efficient Use of Materials
Additionally, vertical integration allows for efficient movement and use of materials – mined aggregates flow directly to our asphalt and concrete operations, and those products can directly be used in the development of our sites. Topsoil, clay, and dirt are also repurposed during our operations. Concrete and asphalt are reclaimed and recycled for a continued lifecycle. Ultimately, L. G.
